Autumn High Hampton Inn Wedding | Cashiers, NC
We can’t believe Lauren & Alex’s dreamy Autumn High Hampton Inn wedding has already come and gone. It seems like we’d been anticipating this one for quite some time. I’ll get to gabbing about these two amazing people in a minute, but first let chat about the smaller details. Lauren & Alex chose to have a destination wedding in one of the most charming mountain towns in North Carolina. Cashiers is nestled deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains and it’s full of amazing views, tasty eats and quirky antique shops. The High Hampton Inn gushes rustic charm and has the feel of a camp for grown-ups… Dirty Dancing anyone? The foggy, crisp mornings, mountain views, and sprawling dahlia garden were enough to get us scheming about how we could stay at the inn permanently.I love that the inn encourages guests to pick dahlias to keep in their rooms during their stay. how fun is that? With it’s rich history, amazing hospitality and iconic red rocking chairs, we were in photographer heaven! Here’s the thing… we love destination weddings because we get a chance to truly connect with the environment, the couple and their loved ones.
It was super fun for us to watch them love and be loved by everyone at their wedding, including us! Lauren is a photographer, so she gets it. Her and Alex went above and beyond to make sure we were “having a good time” and “eating enough” throughout the evening. We’re so thankful for their selflessness – even on their own wedding day. Finally, if we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a hundred times, but we’ve never seen rain ruin a wedding. We love that Lauren and Alex tied the knot under the open sky, even if that did mean enduring a bit of drizzly rain. We’re so thrilled with the unique images from their rainy ceremony. And as if it wasn’t perfect enough already, the sun popped out just as Lauren & Alex were pronounced husband and wife – as if God was shining down on them with his blessing.
