Modern French Quarter Wedding | New Orleans
Katina & Mark’s modern French Quarter wedding in historic New Orleans was one we’ll never forget. This wedding was full of culture, style and pops of color around every turn – Exactly how every New Orleans wedding should be. The couple honored Katina’s Greek heritage with a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony which was pretty cool to witness, but we’re convinced the best part of a Greek wedding has to be the “Money Dance”. Katina & Mark, along with their guests, waltzed around the dance floor for about 30 minutes all while guests and family tossed money into the air. And, yes, the couple gets to keep it all. How fun is that? On top of all that, you can’t get married in Nola without a post-ceremony second line. This New Orleans tradition is one of our favorites and so fun to photograph. The party went down at New Orlean’s staple, Brennans. It’s colorful, whimsical interior is a feast for the eyes. And the cherry on top? The adorable duo left the wedding in a pedi-cab. 🙂 Scroll through the full post to see every one of these fun moments and unique details.
Katina & Mark met and fell in love 10 years ago as college freshman living in New York City. After a recent move to Tuscon, AZ, they decided New Orleans was the perfect place for all of their guests to meet in the middle and we’re so glad they did. All of the lovely details were flawlessly coordinated by Angle Events. Our first New Orleans wedding is in the books and here’s to hoping we’ll shoot many more in the future.
