Rocky Mountain National Park Engagement | Estes Park, Colorado
First things first, we need to publicly thank Lauren & Trevor for making all of our photographer dreams come true with their Rocky Mountain National Park engagement session. We spent the entire day exploring Rocky Mountain National Park and discovering new places on Trail Ridge Road. We originally met Lauren & Trevor at a wedding and then we re-met them at another wedding and another. You see, a couple of years ago, Lauren had a lot of friends getting married and we kept seeing her face. Lauren is a super talented singer, as well as excellent friend, thus she was either singing or attending all of those weddings. We eventually became real life friends with these two over mexican food – isn’t that how all great friendships begin?
You can imagine our delight when they got engaged and asked us to shoot their wedding! A few months pass and we decide to grab dinner one night to discuss their engagement session. We start throwing out ideas of places around Birmingham or within a few hours driving distance. The topics of conversation ebb and flow and we mention that we had a wedding coming up in Denver later that month. A joke ensues about Lauren & Trevor making the trip out to colorado for their engagement session and we dreamed and schemed for the remainder of dinner. We all left the restaurant that night thinking it wouldn’t happen. Two days later, Trevor sends a text that says, “Booking our plane tickets tonight” and the rest is history.
This most epic engagement session of all engagement sessions and is special to us in so many ways. Most of this day felt like a dream.
This location is on trail ridge rd. is one of my favorites, but I can never get my clients to climb up there! You absolutely killed this session – it is so beautiful!
Thanks Paige! You are too kind. It’s one of our faves too. It definitely takes the right couple to want to climb out there. We try to drive through there every time we visit. The entire drive is amazing!
