Bridgestreet Gallery Wedding | Birmingham, AL
This Bridgestreet Gallery wedding is full of sentimental details and incredible hanging flower installations. We became friends with these two about a year before Tim proposed, so it was super fun to walk with them through their wedding planning and see it all come into place. These guys truly outdid themselves! They put together a vendor dream team. Bridgestreet Gallery & Loft is one of our favorite Birmingham venues because, well, those white walls are what my dreams are made of. Thanks, Pinterest! It’s a blank slate for anything. Katelyn & Tim chose to utilize Laura McCarty’s killer flower skills to add amazing focal points. Not one, but TWO hanging floral installations popped against the white washed brick interior.
Tim & Katelyn opted to do a “ring warming” ceremony. “What’s that?” you say? It’s a tradition where the couples rings are passed down each row while their guests are asked to silently say a prayer or blessing for the couple as the ring comes to them. It was such a sweet way to allow the guests to participate in their union. Some of our favorite moments that day happened during Katelyn & Tim’s first look. Tim surprised Katelyn with a bouquet that he made with the help of Laura, their florist. He’d always enjoyed giving Katelyn flowers throughout their dating years, so he wanted to give her a handmade gift of flowers on their wedding day. Swoon! Also, the couple’s kitty, Fitz, got to make an appearance at the first look, as well. Couples who take portraits with their cat have my heart. 😉
Not only was this wedding straight up beautiful, it was loads of FUN. Cocktail hour was made complete with a “selfie station” and coloring pages of landmarks & locations special to the couple. I’m sure you’re beginning to pick up on the fact that Tim & Katelyn just might be two of the most thoughtful and sentimental people around. We’re so happy for these lovebirds to join the married club!
